People - we've got a biter

Zane bit me this morning. He's bitten me before (I still have a bruise on my knee from one such bite), but this morning he proved it to be cognizant, intentional behavior. For the fifth time this morning, I had to stop him from playing in Cookie's food and water bowls. I told him "no" and picked him up to take him back to the lounge. He screamed and stiffened (which I was expecting) then growled, bared his teeth and chomped on my cheek (which I wasn't expecting). Now, I was a little shocked that an 11 month old baby could be so malicious, so I might be remembering this wrong, but he then licked his lips and said something about fava beans and chianti. Very creepy.

Once the shock wore off, I thought "my goodness this child is advanced!" I didn't think biting in anger would start for many more months (if at all). But my mom tells me that Zane's at the right age to begin developing his sociopathic behavior. Well, at least he's on track. Yea!

Thanks. I'm thinking of giving him some of Cookie's rawhide treats to sate his chewing needs.

yeah, shoving food in his mouth will have no effect ...... maybe your dad can take him to the gun range to release some of that aggression??

I believe a life time of Tai Chi training and meditation will channel his aggression into the correct place....little locust
